Supporting Our Mission Responsibly

The NDASA Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transparency, accountability, and aligning donor support with our mission to advocate for and educate toward drug-free communities.

To maintain the integrity of our work and the trust of our supporters, we follow a clear set of criteria when accepting donations. These guidelines ensure that contributions reflect our values and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Who Can Donate

We gratefully accept contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations, and philanthropic institutions that align with the following criteria.

Legitimate Source of Funds

All donations must originate from legal, ethical, and transparent sources. We do not accept contributions derived from activities that conflict with our values or the law.

Mission Alignment

We welcome donors who support our vision and goals. Contributions should further the Foundation's purpose without compromising our independence or core principles.

Unrestricted or Purpose-Aligned Gifts

Unrestricted donations allow us to respond to urgent needs and support ongoing programs. Designated gifts should align with our established initiatives or capital projects.

No Conflict of Interest

We may decline donations that create, or appear to create, a conflict of interest. This includes contributions intended to influence our policies, programs, or leadership decisions.

No Conditions That Undermine Our Integrity

We cannot accept donations that impose conditions compromising our ethics, public trust, or nonprofit status under IRS regulations.

Our Due Diligence Process

Every contribution goes through a consistent review to protect donors, the Foundation, and the communities we serve.

  • Verification of donor identity and funding source
  • Evaluation of alignment with organizational mission and values
  • Legal and financial review for compliance with IRS 501(c)(3) requirements
  • Board consultation for gifts with long-term obligations or naming rights

Donor Acknowledgment & Recognition

Donors are recognized through the following, based on gift level and preference:

  • Website and annual report listings
  • Event sponsorship mentions
  • Recognition on the Donor Wall as a Supporter, Advocate, or Champion
  • Naming opportunities for major gifts

Donors may also request to remain anonymous at any level.
