NDASA Science/Research Grant

This grant supports students and professionals chosen to present posters or talks at the NDASA Annual Conference. Helping to offset travel and lodging costs, the award enables recipients to showcase their research, engage with industry leaders.

  • February 2025 - The Foundation establishes an annual fundraising goal of $25,000, to be distributed through academic and industry scholarships, along with community organization grants.
  • February 2025 - The Foundation receives an annual, reoccurring, academic sponsorship contribution to support "The Austin Academic Scholarship Award."
  • February 2025 - The Foundation receives its first donation from the Wienhoff Foundation to support industry scholarships
  • February 2025 - The NDASA Foundation officially is launched.
  • January 2025 - James A. Greer, former NDASA Chairman, elected Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.
  • January 2025 - Organizational Board of Trustees are elected, including Colleen Wienhoff, Scott Taillie, Bill Current, Melissa Sabus and James A. Greer. Jo McGuire, is appointed Foundation Executive Director
  • January 2025- Articles of Incorporation, non profit filings and other required designations are submitted and issued.
  • December 2024 - NDASA Executive Committee approves Foundation Governance structure
  • October 2024- NDASA Board of Directors approves creation of the NDASA Foundation.

The NDASA Foundation supports first responder agencies and communities disproportionately affected by drug misuse and overdose. Grant funding prioritizes under-resourced areas and high- risk regions to help advance public safety and emergency response capacity.
